Christina Applegate flashed her gorgeous vintage-style diamond engagement ring while out in L.A. yesterday—and it is quite the stunner! Musician Martyn Lenoble (pictured) proposed on Valentine’s Day, but the TV star has only recently sported the sparkler, which according to StyleList.com, boasts approximately four carats of diamonds and cost about $70,000. Congratulations to the happy couple!

Scarlett Johansson and Gwyneth Paltrow lit up the red carpet at Iron Man 2‘s L.A. premiere in sexy Giorgio Armani designs. For Johansson, the designer chose a sculptured one-shoulder organza Armani Prive cocktail dress from the line’s ethereal Moon collection, which he sketched in a pale green hue. Armani’s selection for Paltrow was a metallic silk jacquard short suit from his signature collection. We love that they (and their super cute sketches) couldn’t be more different, or more elegant!

Why wear one amazing outfit a day when you can wear three? That’s what Jennifer Lopez did when she hit the City of Lights yesterday to promote her new film The Back-Up Plan. The actress arrived at the exclusive Hotel de Crillon in a ruffled Etro maxidress, wore a Paule Ka white skirt suit while lunching and shopping in Paris’s hip Marais district with her sister (she was spotted browsing at Lanvin and the boutique Bel Air) and finally headed for the airport in a black leather paneled Gianfranco Ferre long-sleeved dress and C. Viviani pyramid cocktail ring. The only thing the fashion icon didn’t change? Her black Loewe “Amazona”  handbag. Tres chic!

Whitney Port Dishes on Season 2 of The City

Apr 27, 2010 @ 9:27 am

It’s only been a year and a half since Whitney Port first arrived in New York with the dream of becoming a fashion designer, but The City star has managed to live her dream.  In the show’s second season (premiering tonight on MTV at 10:30p.m. EST/PST), we’ll get to see Port’s journey to the runway with her line Whitney Eve. We chatted with the reality star, who dished about her fashion inspirations and the lessons she’s learned in front of the cameras.

InStyle.com: What can we expect from tonight’s season premiere?

Whitney Port: The premiere episode starts with me showing my line at Bryant Park last fall. It was a group show and it was all about gearing up for that. It was very intense and surreal. It happens so fast that you kind of black out after. It was one of the most exciting things I’ve ever experienced.
