It’s fine to gloss over the facts and try to create a fairy tale image for these women because that’s the point of publications like INSTYLE etc… I understand that as far as American media is concerned, stories like this have the potential to make lots of money… Royalty is viewed as quaint and glamorous and inconsequential. But it would be FANTASTIC if for once, someone would tell it like it is. This last generation of Crown Princesses are, quite frankly, ill equipped to do the job. Adding another buffoon (Waity Katie) to the mix will not hep the royalist cause.

I don’t include CP Victoria to the mix… she knows what’s expected and is preparing all the time…her fiance is another matter.

Such a very plain woman Kate Middleton is. Nothing special there like with beautiful Lady Diana Spencer, who became Princess of Wales.
Kate is too common to marry the Prince, no matter how long and how hard the press has pushed the 27 year old Prince William to marry her, it has not happened.
Prince William most likely won’t marry for another decade and it certainly won’t be to this uncharismatic, commoner who looks like any girl in any mall in America. Kate’s not special no matter how hard the press tries to build her up.

So many US women seem to hate a British woman and declare her unsuitable to be our Queen. If we’re happy with Prince William’s choice who cares what you think? Stick to electing Bushes to represent you on the world stage. We’ll stick to Prince William and this elegant and well-mannered girl.

I think Kate is beautiful and a very classy young woman, especially for her young age. The Prince and her have been dating for a very long time now and I wouldn’t be one bit surprised if he does propose soon. What a beautiful wedding that would be! It would be so refreshing to see a young beautiful couple actually marrying for love, so very different than Diana and Charles.

I THINK kATE LOOKS VERY ELEGANT AND HAS A VERY DEFINITE STYLE OF HER OWN, SHE WOULDN’T HAVE TO COPY ANYBODY, THEY WILL BE COPYING HER IF SHE MARRIES WILLIAM. Not sure why beauty is a criteria for dating a Prince- Wills is the one who will have to wake up with her every day so who cares what she looks like and how classy and fashionable she is- if she really was too common for him I’m sure he wouldn’t have been with her for so long. Look at Charles and Camilla- she is an UGLY adulteress home wrecking commoner and they seem to be doing just fine. It woudl probably be better for Kate to be ugly and frumpy like Camilla cause then the press wouldn’t be interested in her and hound her 24/7

Given the royal family’s personal marital track record, I wouldn’t blame William for being somewhat cautious, though they do make a handsome couple. I’ve read that William, as a sensitive lttle boy, comforted his “Mum” during her marital woes; a lot of responsibility for a child. Maybe the fact that they’re still together after this long means there is really something there. I wish her luck marrying into that family though, she’ll need it. Funny though, how the comparison photo of the late Princess of Wales’ style shows her wearing the much maligned (at the time) pink “anorexia” dress.

I personally think Kate is a wonderful young woman. I think they would have a great basis for a marriage as they were friends first before the romance developed. William was smart not to marry very young with, perhaps, disastrous concequences. They have given the family plenty of time to get to know her and apparently they don’t disagree with the relationship. She is smart enough to learn from the mistakes of her predecessors and seems to handle the media coverage very well. She appears to be well grounded, as does William, and have taken the time to ensure the relationship will last. I say ‘Bravo, William!’ and wish them the best of luck. I would like to see them play a joke on the media ….. have him ask her in private, then let the media work up to a fevered pitch and finally answer offhandedly, ‘marriage, oh that …. that question was settled months ago when I asked her and she said yes … did we forget to mention that? ….

Really hope Prince William doesn’t marry Kate middleton. She’s just a plain middle class girl.The gold digger mother was an air hostess, now milking royal association with party pieces,lol and that ignorant,drug taking, uncle living in Bang Bang, again lol. Someone with a title and a personality would be nice.Kate Middleton would be fine if married to a lesser royal but married to a king to be NO!
