Sneak Peek! Melania Trump For QVC

Apr 19, 2010 @ 5:16 pm

Melania Trump is the latest Trump to add jewelry designer to her resume with an exclusive line for QVC debuting on April 30th. “I wanted to give women across the county the opportunity to wear jewelry that is affordable, chic and made with love,” the former model told us.  “How great is it that they can feel elegant, glamorous and beautiful for under $200!” While the line draws inspiration from the architecture of the three cities she calls home (New York, Palm Beach and Paris), Trump divulged that treasured pieces from her personal jewelry box, including her wedding band and a bracelet she wore when son Barron was born, served as the creative force behind some of her favorite pieces, like the Worth Avenue Watch ($56, left). “Each piece is designed with versatility in mind—perfect for work, play or a night out on the town,” Trump said. Donna Karan Loves The Yankees!

Apr 19, 2010 @ 12:19 pm

Yankee Stadium is making room for another New York legend: Donna Karan, whose DKNY line became the first fashion brand to sponsor the New York Yankees. The designer, whose billboards and logos will be seen along the third baseline and the team’s dugout lounge, dropped by the Yankees’ batting practice to show the players some love before Friday’s game against the Texas Rangers. After greeting all-star player Alex Rodriguez and team manager Joe Girardi, Karan attempted to hit the mound. “I really want to pitch and they won’t let me pitch, and I want to hit the ball but they won’t let me hit the ball,” she told WWD. “These guys are really cool. I can only salute them.”

Underwood’s Winning ACM Style

Apr 19, 2010 @ 10:19 am

Not only did Carrie Underwood take home the Entertainer of the Year award (for the second year in a row!) at last night’s Academy of Country Music Awards, but the country star also won big in the style department! Underwood walked the red carpet in a one-shouldered cream Basil Soda cocktail dress, chose a fun, glittering minidress for her performance of “Travelin’ Band” with Brad Paisley, Miranda Lambert, John Fogerty and Charlie Daniels, then went for elegance in a colorful dreamlike gown specially made for her by Theia (right) for her performance of her hit single “Temporary Home.” To accept her big award, the bride-to-be looked fitting in a white pleated Rafael Cennamo dress. The sizzling star turnout at this weekend’s annual Coachella Music Festival rivaled the desert heat! Kate Bosworth (in a Suno dress and Joie sandals), Rachel Bilson (in a Brigid Catiis shirt, Paige Denim shorts, Joie sandals and Ray Bans) and Beyonce were among the stylish set who flocked to the Indio Valley, California polo fields to see an amazing lineup of artists, including Jay-Z, Muse and the Gorillaz. Jay-Z surprised Friday night’s audience by performing “Forever Young” with wife Beyonce, who rocked the stage in cut-off True Religion jean shorts and a Wildfox Couture off-the-shoulder tee.  When they weren’t braving the heat to see their favorite bands and DJs, stars such as Bilson, Camilla Belle and Kristen Stewart sought shade at various parties such as Lacoste’s poolside bash in Indio. What artists brought Bilson out to Coachella? “I was really excited to see Jay-Z. Once he came out, it was just amazing,” she told us. “It was so crazy. We almost left but decided to stay. I’m glad I saw [Beyonce perform].” When it came to stylishly surviving the desert festival, the actress recommended one of her favorite trends this season. “I’m really loving backpacks,” she said. “They make things so much easier!” Click on to see more stylish stars at Coachella.
