Lady Gaga’s latest fashion statement was just that: an actual statement! At Japan’s Narita airport—where she arrived for the Far East leg of her world tour—she flashed a special graffiti message to her Japanese fans on her Birkin bag. “I love little monster, Tokyo love” was written in Japanese Katakana script on both her handbag and forearm. The retail price of a Birkin bag starts at $5,000–proving just how far the pop star will go for her beloved little monsters.

Gah! What a blitzkrieg of camp and tastelessness.

The bag is BEAUTIFUL! I love love that Birkin. She sure is brave to write on that $5K bag, but I admit it, it does look cute with the Japanese symbols on it.

See, they do waste money on silly things. Just think of how many kids all over the world who could use $5,000 dollars to buy food, clothing, etc. for a few years!
I get sick of these so-called stars, and their sense of entitlement. I would be ashamed to admit I spent 5 grand on a white hand bag! And then someone wrote all over it! As you may have guessed. i don’t think gaga has anything going for her. She is a wanna be madonna and she is failing miserably.

WOW, look at those clothes! I love her sun glasses and lipstick, does anyone know what designer she is wearing on her glasses?

Poor Hermes bag…

-instylecom on April 20th, 2010

Why spend 5K on a bag if you are just going to scribble on it? What a waste. She is ridiculous.

What is with the fasination with the Japanese symbols on everything? Do the Japanese have American letters tattooed all over their bodies and American graffiti all over their purses ect?

-Sam on April 21st, 2010

I agree with Colleen and Instyle.com comments. What a waist and hopefully she reads these comments or show interest in them. Although you buy an expensive bag do give some to others. I do like buying bags and the Hermes would be the ultimate one. I already needed time to consider when I bought my Chanel but in return I give to my orphanage cause and bring them personally when I fly out to Nigeria.

How do you know that she didn’t give oney to charity? Why should she have to work for her money and give it all away. Do you? I have written on my handbags before I had a very plain brown one once that I decoreated in an art deco motif. It’s her’s let her write on it. Such wa wa whiners!
