Heidi Klum’s Mick Jagger Cut

Apr 14, 2010 @ 3:30 pm

Yesterday we told you about Heidi Klum’s new shag—and now we’ve got more news to share: The cut was inspired by none other than…Mick Jagger! “She was ready to change her look completely,” said the stylist responsible for the cut, Michel Aleman. “We’d done bangs before, but I thought maybe we could try thicker ones with a rounded, shaggy bob. And then I realized, Mick Jagger had the exact cut I was thinking of!” Klum loved Aleman’s vision and inspiration, and was completely game to try the look. “When it was done, she felt great about it,” said the stylist. “She is always ready to try something new.”

The First Lady deplaned in Mexico City in a perfectly patriotic ensemble of red, white and blue. She accessorized a full skirted blue and white floral sundress with red ballet flats (one of the 10 things every woman must own!) and finished off her look with a Monique Pean white cuff as well as Mark Davis for Monique Pean’s gold bangles and matching drop earrings. Mrs. O will be visiting the country for the next three days and we can’t wait to watch her spring looks unfold!

Lady Gaga’s Graffitied Hermes Bag!

Apr 14, 2010 @ 12:04 pm

Lady Gaga’s latest fashion statement was just that: an actual statement! At Japan’s Narita airport—where she arrived for the Far East leg of her world tour—she flashed a special graffiti message to her Japanese fans on her Birkin bag. “I love little monster, Tokyo love” was written in Japanese Katakana script on both her handbag and forearm. The retail price of a Birkin bag starts at $5,000–proving just how far the pop star will go for her beloved little monsters.

In her second year as the face of Royal Velvet, Brooke Shields made the home brand’s newest ad campaign a family affair. The actress’s husband, producer Chris Henchy, and their two daughters, Rowan and Grier, joined her at a private estate in West Hollywood for the super cute photo shoot, which features the gorgeous family snuggled in Royal Velvet’s soft linens and wrapped up in their comfy bath robes and plush towels. “It was such a treat to have my husband and kids with me,” Shields says in a video on Royal Velvet’s site. “Having my husband appreciate how hard it is to [model]. I think he has a first-hand appreciation now.” The ads debut next month, but we got a sneak peek at the final shots as well as a behind-the-scenes look at the Henchys in action. Click on to see the adorable photos and be prepared to say, “Awww!”

Glee‘s Sue Sylvester Does Madonna’s “Vogue”

Apr 14, 2010 @ 7:50 am

Last night, we not only welcomed back Glee, we also got a preview of what to expect on next week’s “Power of Madonna” show. Even our favorite villain, Sue Sylvester (played by newly engaged Jane Lynch), can’t hold back her devotion to the Material Girl. “Madonna is the most powerful woman to ever walk the earth,” she says in the preview. “Simply saying the word aloud makes me feel powerful.” How did she harness her admiration? A frame-by-frame recreation of the 1990 “Vogue” music video—right down to the costumes and dance moves. The lyrics, however, have been slightly Glee-afied: “Sue Sylvester, dance on air. Will Schuster, I hate you!” Check out the video and tell us what Madonna songs you’d like to see the Glee cast perform in the comments section below!
