But rather than thinking up the questions ourselves, we thought we’d turn that part over to you. What should we ask him? The secret to a flawless bob? A great tip for an easy updo? Leave the hair questions you’re dying for him to answer in the comments sections below. We’ll pick our top five favorites next Friday and post his answers on Monday, April 19th.

I wouldn’t admit it if I styled her hair! The poor thing should buy a good wig.

What would you say would be the best product for dryness in black hair? I am looking for something that won’t weigh it down and also that will allow my hair to stay “flowy” between appointments? I can only afford to go twice a month and the inbetween week is the worst.

My comment has nothing to do with hair, my question is why are some of you people so negative about the First Lady? She is an attractive woman who has done nothing to any of you and she is very beautiful, you must remember she is representing the U.S. of America and when you talk against her or the President you are talking against our country’s leader and his wife.

What products does he use on Mrs. Obama’s hair? How does it always look so salon fresh? How does he keep her hair moisturized ? What does he use to protect her hair from the heat? How often would he advise African American women to wash their hair? And what is a key way for the to avoid dry frizzy hair after washing?

Cutting hair wet or dry: Which method provides a more precision cut? Is hair type a determining factor?

-Indigo aka @colourgurl on April 10th, 2010

My question is what does Mrs. Obama do at bedtime? Does she wrap her hair up or not bother?

That is a huge problem for me. I hate to sleep with anything on my head at bedtime, but it sure helps to keep it “in check” if I do!

I would like to know what black women should do when they workout and sweat on a consistent basis? Should we wash our hair after every session or just rinse our hair? What products should we use if washing more than once a week due to exercise?

-Kara on April 11th, 2010

I don’t see anything exceptional enough about her hair to bother asking this man anything about it.

With relaxed African-American hair some of the things you have to watch out for is breakage either through too much relaxing, too much heat and then what you sleep with

What do you do recommend to Mrs. Obama to combat breakage

And really, these days, is sitting under a dryer and then having your hair blow dried and then hot curled and then paddled really necessary.

Blow dry and then curl and comb into style.

What kind of hair care products women of the third age should use? For example If they want to keep it salt and pepper and make it fuller. I know Mrs. Obama is much younger but for me, a black woman of the third age, I am having problems using hair products with chemical additives. This is an educational issue like many others because hair matters. I found web sites that I could buy from a more natural hair products but before I buy anything I want Mr. Wright’s opinion. Thanks.

I would like to know what to do to protect your hair from frequent styling. Do you still use a flat iron to style Mrs. O’s hair or do you use other methods to preserve it from being damaged?

-DarkEmpress on April 11th, 2010

What is the name of the relaxer treatment used?………….what are some of the shining treatments?

-tash on April 11th, 2010

Are there any upcoming plans to try natural hairstyles (i.e. goddess braiding styles)? i like that you see natural hairstyles occasionally on her eldest daughter. Many African-American women give their hair a break from relaxers/hot combs in the summer. It would be exciting to see this on a first lady. Because of her height and presence, she would look like a queen.

What is recommended for the always seen, very busy career oriented or ft job, ft school gal. Heat leads to breakage and with braids, your scalp goes crazy with dryness. What’s a healthy, always looking fresh idea for hair and scalp that you can recommend.

-josephine on April 11th, 2010

By the way, always being in the limelight, that’s enough stress to cause any hairdo, especially black and I mean the kind which kinks up with the slightest bit of moisture is tough. Hats off to 1st lady and all the beautiful African American women that represent and keep looking fresh all the time! You go girls!

What is the best hair protectant to use for African American hair, when you are using a flat iron, or curling iron ?

-sara on April 11th, 2010

I have coarse, short hair (about the length of the first lady’s). I want to buy a new flat iron. What size and what max heat temperature should I look for to really get my hair straight (from root to tip).

-Misty on April 11th, 2010

What are the best hair products for young girls that have combination hair and shouild they use a flat iron on it to straighten it out.

-Lisa Brown on April 12th, 2010

I love the thick black hair ad my question is What brands of hair products of shampoo, styling and maintenance does America’s First lady is using?

-Joseph Bontilao on April 12th, 2010

I’ve heard that Mrs. Obama has natural hair (i.e. doesn’t have a relaxer), and just gets her hair pressed/flat-ironed. If so, when are we going to see her natural hair? Since she represents the quintessential professional black woman, it would be wonderful if she could show the world that there are many professional styles that one can wear with natural hair.

PICK ME! PICK ME!

Will applying a clear cellophane gloss to African American hair prevent other products i.e. conditioners, leave-in treatments from working effectively?

YOU PUT THE “LADY” IN FIRST LADY MRS. OBAMA!

-Amber Janel on April 12th, 2010

What shampoos and conditioners do you use on Mrs. Obama’s hair?

What do you recommend African Americans do to assitance hair growth?

-Jessica on April 12th, 2010

What do you use to keep her hair in place all day?

-amy p on April 12th, 2010

-Libby on April 12th, 2010

How often does Mrs. Obama straighten her hair? Once a week or more? BTW Johnny Wright does a fabolous job.

-Maria on April 12th, 2010
