There’s a new look taking to the streets of Hollywood—socks with heels! From Rihanna to Leighton Meester, celebrities are stepping out in the geek-chic look. The trend trickled down from the runway, where it was seen at Burberry, Christian Dior and Prada’s spring shows, and it’s also made its way into a recent J.Crew catalog. We haven’t seen this many sock hoppers since the ’50s, when bobby socks and poodle skirts were de rigeur. Can you master this fashion feet, er, feat? The trick of the trade is all in the mix. Make sure your socks aren’t too bulky and your shoes aren’t too fancy. Keep it casual and fun!

Love the look! I want to try and pull it off with platform sandals.

Ugly!!!

There is nothing cute about this. Heels with socks is no different than sandals with socks, its just a fashion no no.

I totally love the look! Colorful socks to match the outfit can look absolutely stunning. It looks much better than bare legs and feet with heels. And the best part is it makes my heels more comfortable! Who could argue with that?!! I really hope this trend stays around for awhile.

Why is something comfortable always so looked down upon? I don’t wear Berkenstocks, and I think socks and heels can look fashionably impertinent.
