Style on Set: Carrie Loves Her Louboutins!
Sep 2, 2009 @ 10:00 amThe first Sex and The City movie focused on “labels and love” and so far the sequel appears to be all about the Louboutins. After dazzling 5th Avenue in her crystal-encrusted Pigalles, Carrie hit the streets of N.Y.C. in a Halston Heritage dress, accessorized with a pair of yellow t-strap spikes and a pink hobo bag, both by the famed French designer. Footwear aficionados still have a chance to track down the heels, but if it’s the hot pink handbag you’re after, you’re out of luck. The bright hue is a one-of-a-kind, but is available in gray. Speaking of L-words, we noticed that Carrie has swapped her trademark horseshoe for a four-leaf clover pendant—must be her new lucky charm.

I’m so pslaeed that Kate is going to become a TV star. I’ve been following her and Liam for years. If you’re wondering why a stranger should file two posts in one day, it is because something wonderful happened today. After a few years of illness, I was recently able to return to a job I did years ago, a bookseller. The best job I ever had. Today, a customer brought a C.J. Box mystery to cash/wrap. I wanted to leap over my cash register and take him to your books (and Nevada Barr’s). I couldn’t have done that kind of leaping even in my best days. Besides I couldn’t leave cash/wrap. Instead I wrote both your names down on a piece of paper and stuffed them into the bag with his purchase. As I’m doing this I describe to him that terrific scene of Liam in the airplane at the opening hour of herring of season. “It’s like a dogfight over the English Channel during the Battle of Britain.” I can tell I’m making the sale, not today, but the next time he comes in. Today was a good day. Thank you.
